Why use CometVPN’s VPN?

Security

Using a VPN routes your internet connection through a secure server that encrypts traffic and provides enhanced security

Localized content

Picking the correct VPN server location will let you watch content that’s normally only available to that specific country

Privacy

Your online activity will be hidden from your ISP and government. We also store no logs of your online activity, so there will be no way to uncover them

What makes CometVPN special

No compromises on performance

All our VPN servers come from highly vetted providers that we have a long-standing business relationship with. We only purchase VPN servers that ensure maximum performance with minimum downtimes and slowdowns, allowing our users to get IP addresses that will not hamper their online activities.

Global VPN server location pool

While some VPN servers are much more popular than others, we try to serve all of our customers by acquiring IP addresses from numerous different locations. Our pool covers most of the world with servers in nearly any country you can think of. So, you can bypass all geo-restrictions by simply picking the right IP address for your needs.

Top-notch security and privacy

CometVPN was created as a service we ourselves can trust. Every VPN server has a real IP address and not a virtual location, ensuring better performance, security, and privacy. Additionally, we encrypt all traffic that goes through a VPN server address and store absolutely no logs about your online activities. So, no one can find out what you are or were doing when using our VPN servers.

Questions & answers

What is a VPN?

A Virtual Private Network is a remote server that you can connect to in order to route your traffic through it. VPN servers give you better security, privacy, and allow you to change your perceived location.

Is using a VPN server legal?

In most countries, using a VPN server is completely legal as it’s simply using another IP address to do your online activities. There are two caveats – there are some countries that have banned VPNs and any illegal activities that happen when using a VPN remain illegal.

Can you create your own VPN server?

Yes, you will most likely have to rent out a server with your desired IP address and set up the necessary software. Then you can use the IP address to connect to your VPN. Unfortunately, it will likely cost you a lot more to maintain a VPN by yourself.

What is the best VPN server location to connect to?

If you want to watch localized content, then the server that has an IP address from that country is the best. Otherwise, pick a VPN server that’s close to your location to maintain high speeds.

Are free VPN servers safe?

Unlikely as maintaining VPNs is expensive, especially if you procure only those with a real IP address. Each of them will have a monthly cost and you’ll have to update software. Those who offer free VPNs have to make the money back somehow and it’s usually by selling your data or other malicious means.

Is it illegal to use a VPN server for Netflix or streaming services?

While it’s not strictly illegal to use a different IP address to circumvent localized content restrictions, most streaming platforms are against such usage. Getting on the wrong side of the law is extremely unlikely, but you can have your account restricted. Try a residential IP VPN to lower the odds.

What is a Dedicated IP, and why should I use one?

A dedicated IP address is a unique and static IP assigned exclusively to a single user. Unlike shared IPs that commonly come with VPNs, they are more reliable for avoiding CAPTCHAs or other restrictions, enhancing security, and ensuring a consistent online identity.
